In “a twisted new series almost too depraved for cable TV,” a global fuel shortage has ravaged civilization in the future of 1999 in the Syfy’s grindhouse cinema-inspired Blood Drive.
The series promises cannibals, monsters, cults, lawmen, nymphos and amazons. It stars Christina Ochoa as a “violent vixen” and Alan Ritchson as “Ken doll cop” Arthur Bailey—the last good cop among a horde of corrupt officials who gets caught up in an underground race where the drivers are homicidal deviants, and the cars run on human blood.
From Universal Cable Productions, Blood Drive is executive produced by John Hlavin (Underworld Awakening), David Straiton (Bates Motel) and Frederik Malmberg (Let Me In), along with producer Mark Wheeler (Becoming). James Roland (Weeds) created the project and is a co-executive producer.
Blood Drive premieres June 14 at 10 p.m. on Syfy.
