Just because Dad is always busy doesn’t mean he isn’t paying attention.

That’s the message from the first Christmas campaign ever by BBC in-house agency BBC Creative. The spot tells the story of a 10-year-girl who dreams of dancing, so she signs up for her school talent show. She practices incessantly while her father seems engrossed in mundane tasks such as fixing cars, ironing clothes and doing the dishes.

When it comes time to step into the spotlight, she freezes, but not to worry, Dad’s been keeping a close eye all along.

The two-minute film is set to a rearrangement of Clean Bandit’s “Symphony,” and was directed by Blinkink’s Elliot Dear.
