Nearly one year after her historic 2018 Coachella performance, Netflix and Beyoncé released a teaser for the singer’s upcoming documentary, Homecoming.
The spot opens up with a voiceover from Maya Angelou, who talks about being “a representative of [her] race, of the human race.” As Angelou’s voice continues, we see clips of rehearsals, candid footage of Beyoncé with her family, and the live performance that became one of the most talked about moments in recent music history.
The documentary will also feature intimate interviews with those involved, exploring Beyoncé’s creative process as she paid homage to America’s historically black colleges and universities.
Homecoming premieres April 17 on Netflix.
