After months of uncertainty, Apple announced on Tuesday that its new subscription streaming service, Apple TV+, will officially launch in 100 countries on Nov. 1 at a price point of $4.99 per month.

Apple TV+ will drop several new series at launch, including The Morning Show, starring Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell; See, starring Jason Momoa and Alfre Woodward (trailer above); and Dickinson, starring Hailee Steinfeld, among several others.

As expected, anyone who buys a new Apple device—including iPods, iPads, iPhones, iMacs, Apple TV set-top boxes and more—will receive a free year of Apple TV+ as part of the purchase. At launch, it will also be available on the web and on Samsung smart TVs, and will eventually be available for Amazon Fire TV, LG, Roku, Sony and Vizio devices.

The date and the price are significant because both will undercut the launch of Disney+, which drops November 12 at $6.99 per month. That said, Disney’s offerings are much vaster than those of Apple, at least at launch, with Disney making available the libraries of Marvel, National Geographic, Pixar and Star Wars, as well as new original series such as Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian, starring Pedro Pascal.

In light of the coming competition, share prices of several rival streaming outfits—Disney, Netflix and Roku—fell on Tuesday. Netflix is currently the most expensive service of the three, with subscriptions running from $8.99 to $15.99 per month.

Apple also is launching other subscription services, including News Plus last March at $10 per month, and gaming service Arcade, coming Sept. 19 at $4.99 per month.
