AMC released a trailer for the second season of Humans, set to premiere in February 2017.

Written by Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley, the series — which also airs on Channel 4 in the UK — is set in a parallel present and focuses on what happens when the lines between humans and machines are blurred. Check out the new trailer below.

The eight-episode second season picks up several months after the events of Year 1, with Niska (Emily Berrington) still at large and in possession of the consciousness code. Unaware of her location, Niska’s synth family — Mia (Gemma Chan), Leo (Colin Morgan) and Max (Ivanno Jeremiah) — are trying to find their place in the world while Joe (Tom Goodman-Hill) and Laura (Katherine Parkinson) attempt to fix their marriage.

As unconfirmed reports of synths behaving inexplicably surface, the ripple effects of one simple yet huge decision sees the past return dramatically and unexpectedly to the door of the Hawkins house. Joe, Laura, and the entire family are faced with a difficult choice that will put the family under an intense spotlight.

Actors Will Tudor, Pixie Davies, Lucy Carless, Theo Stephenson, Neil Maskell and Ruth Bradley also are returning for season two, alongside series regulars Carrie-Anne Moss, Sam Palladino, Marshall Allman, Sonya Cassidy, Bella Dayne and Letitia Wright.
