The BBC has been named the 2015 PromaxBDA Europe In-House Marketing Team of the Year, awarded Tuesday evening in Berlin.

The awards show, hosted by comedian Jeff Leach, marked the culmination of the 2015 PromaxBDA Europe Conference, held March 23-24 at the InterContinental Berlin.

The In-House Marketing Team of the Year is awarded to a company each year who has demonstrated outstanding and innovative work, decided by the number of awards won in the PromaxBDA Europe Awards competition.

The BBC, led by Director of Marketing and Audiences Philip Almond, airs some of the U.K.’s biggest and most popular programs, notably international hit singing competition The Voice, the Olympics and coverage of the World Cup.

“To win this award last year was a great honor,” said Almond. “To win two years in succession is a fantastic achievement by the whole marketing team here at the BBC and the agencies we work with.”

To celebrate the team’s win at the PromaxBDA Europe Awards, Brief runs down some of their award-winning work from the past year:

Winter Olympics 2014: Trailer - BBC Sport:

BBC Two and Radio 5 aired the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, which took home the Gold for Copywriting at this year’s PromaxBDA Europe Awards. The snowy landscape-focused trailer is narrated by Game of Thrones’ Charles Dance, who ends with the BBC’s tagline: “Nature. Who will conquer it?”

The Voice Raven:

The Voice on BBC One features coaches Sir Tom Jones, Ricky Wilson, Rita Ora and will.i.am, starring in this spot where the group can’t help but get drawn in to a mysterious voice at the other end of the bar. That voice, of course, is a raven singing “Black Betty,” but stops for a moment when he feels threatened. The promo won silver in the category Entertainment/Music/Variety/Comedy Program Spot.

World Cup: Toys on Tour:

To promote the 2014 World Cup, the BBC enlisted tiny footballers who wanted to make the long trek to Brazil. With only a few tiny mishaps, they manage to hitch a ride with the BBC. The toys won the BBC the silver award for Best Live Sports Event/Program Spot.

My Breaking News Moment:

“My Breaking News Moment” won gold in two categories: Best General Brand Campaign and News/Information Channel Spots. The BBC’s campaign hailed the broadcaster’s role as “the leaders in global breaking news.” The text-based spot below tells the story of breaking news from the point of view of a BBC journalist in Kenya.
