Two Canadian companies—Bell Media Agency and Groupe TVA—led the list of finalists for the 2014 PromaxBDALocal Awards when the full list of nominees was unveiled Thursday in Los Angeles.
Bell Media Agency topped the list with 30 finalist nominations, followed by Groupe TVA with 11. Tribune Creative West was the top American finalist, with 9 nominations.
KXAS-NBC 5 (Dallas-Fort Worth), WTNH (New Haven-Hartford), and WGN (Chicago) were the three local U.S. stations with the highest number of individual nominations with 7 each.

The annual PromaxBDALocal Awards celebrate and honor the best in marketing and design from the local market. With more than 40 awards and 150 nominations, the Local Awards recognize the best in a variety of categories from Art Direction, to Special News Reports, to Live Event Spots.

Chicago was the market with the most nominees at 15, followed by Dallas-Fort Worth (14), Raleigh-Durham (11), New Haven-Hartford (9), Los Angeles (9), and Birmingham (6).
Among station groups, Tribune Broadcasting led with 29 finalist nominations among its various stations. LIN Media, CBS Television Stations, and NBCUniversal and Telemundo TV Stations, all tied with 18 each. Gannett followed with 12.
The winners will be announced at the award luncheon hosted by talk show host, actress and comedian, Loni Love at the annual Station Summit in Las Vegas June 26.
