Canada’s Bell Media Agency led this year’s PromaxBDA Global Excellence Promotion, Marketing & Design Awards with 32 nods in total.The full list of finalists was announced Tuesday.
Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific came in second with 18 spots on the finalists’ list, with CNN, Universal Networks International Germany, and Viacom18’s Comedy Central India rounding out the top five with 16 finalists’ nominations each.
The annual awards highlight the most creative and impactful work being produced around the world in the entertainment marketing, promotion and design industries. This year’s finalists include in-house as well as out-of-house/agency contenders.
Other top finalists include NBC Entertainment Marketing and Digital (13), Foxtel - Fox 8 (13), Fox International Channels Latin America (13), Prosiebensat.1 TV Deutschland (13), National Geographic Channels International (13), Viasat Creative London (11), NBC Sports Agency (10), and The Walt Disney Company Latin America (10).
The winners will be announced at the awards show held at PromaxBDA: The Conference 2014 in New York City on June 12. Former Viacom boss Tom Freston, VICE co-founder Shane Smith, and El Rey Network Chairman Robert Rodriguez are all slated to deliver keynote addresses at this year’s conference, under the theme #WTFuture.
