Hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have proven their worth once again, this time by continuing the “Golden Globes” ratings increase they began last year for NBC.
Sunday night, the awards show brought in 20.9 million viewers, up 6 percent from last year and the highest ratings in 10 years for the “Golden Globes.” The night also gained in the coveted 18-49 demographic, averaging a 6.5 rating (up 2 percent from 2013).
NBC’s red carpet coverage prior to the show also gained, up 12 percent from 2013, averaging a 2.8 rating among adults 18-49.

Brief Take: Fey and Poehler’s presence has garnered higher ratings for the “Golden Globes” than ever before, and after next year’s show with the comedians, NBC will have to think of a new way to keep up the show’s ratings climb and expanding value.
