At its Digital Content Newfront last night, Yahoo put to rest any doubters of CEO Marissa Mayer’s commitment to original content, MediaPost reports today. The company presented a slew of upcoming new shows featuring such stars as Ed Helms, John Stamos and Cheryl Hines. Yahoo also unveiled more immersive advertising opportunities, such as “stream ads,” and announced a new, high-profile global partnership with WWE as well as the next stage of its ongoing partnership with Disney’s ABC News Network.
