Austin Katz will join Troika as the new Chief Development Officer, leading strategic growth and development at the branding and marketing innovations agency.

Katz previously worked as the former chief operating officer at The Ebersol Lanigan Company, where he implemented growth and operations strategies that led to increases in revenue and profitability. At Troika, he’ll be in charge of further development and expanding services to help clients better understand the shared cultural and human values that drive engagement today.

“Austin will be charged with innovation, ensuring that we continue to serve the growing needs of brands that must connect with consumers on their terms through engagement, entertainment and fandom,” Troika CEO and Founder Dan Pappalardo said in a statement. “Troika is pioneering a new model of marketing that layers brand, culture and human emotion in an unprecedented time of change.”

Katz has experience in both the entertainment industry and agency side, working with brands such as Chrysler, Marriott, Mad Men, Bravo and HGTV. He’s worked at Brand Sense Partners, Warner Bros., InfoSpace Mobile, Sony Corp. and Rare Ventures in various leadership and senior management roles.

Katz said he’s excited to be joining a company that’s well-positioned to help leading brands chart their paths into a new frontier.

“Troika has a special opportunity to dive deeper and innovate more,” he said in a statement. “Building upon Troika’s success, we are broadening our focus by leveraging our insights and expertise in new verticals.”
