Netflix released a season two trailer for Project MC2, featuring four tween-aged girls who use their super smarts to save the day.

Season two will launch Friday, August 12, and the streaming service renewed the series for a season three, set to premiere in the fall.

The news comes as Netflix, the White House Council on Women & Girls, and the U.S. Department of Education announced a partnership with a leading youth organization to create interactive show screening experiences and online discovery kits encouraging young girls to unlock their potential in science, math, art, engineering and technology (STEAM). Details will be announced this summer.

“The strong values of teamwork, tenacity, female empowerment and intelligence is something we want all girls including my daughters to see more of on television,” Netflix’s Andy Yeatman, director of kids content acquisition, said in a press release. “We’re thrilled to bring two more seasons of Project MC2 to our members and to show young girls around the world that STEAM is both fun and accessible.”

In season two, McKeyla, joins a spy organization NOV8 (that’s “Innovate”) and must blend in as an average high school student. Friends Adrienne, Bryden and Camry are eager to help when super-hacker Retro compromises all social media and technology devices, and the girls must solve riddles and connect clues to figure out why he’s attacking the city.
