TNT and TBS will partner with the script database The Black List to scout new writing talent, Turner Broadcasting said Monday.
The database, which recently branched out into TV and web series, has already hosted more than 10,000 screenplays since it was founded in 2012, and helped more than 40 writers find representation.
Under the terms of the deal, TNT and TBS will set down certain guidelines for various TV writing genres, and The Black List will submit a short list of five finalists for each category. Turner can then offer them blind script deals or share the scripts with network showrunners.
