​Ruth Wilson and Andrew Scott play a wife and husband who are working together to try to forge peace between Israel and Palestine in HBO’s original movie Oslo, based on the Tony-winning stage play by J. T. Rogers.

The film is based on the true story of the 1993 Oslo Peace Accords, which started as secret negotiations and included back-channel talks, unlikely friendships and quiet heroics on the part of a small but committed group of Israelis, Palestinians and the Norwegian couple, junior foreign minister Mona Juul and sociologist Terje Rød-Larsen, played by Wilson and Scott.

Besides Wilson and Scott, the film also stars Salim Daw, Waleed Zuaiter, Jeff Wilbusch, Igal Naor, Dov Glickman, Rotem Keinan, Itzik Cohen, Tobias Zilliacus and Sasson Gabay as Shimon Peres, Israeli foreign minister.

Rogers wrote and produced the film, which is directed and executive produced by Bartlett Sher along with Cambra Overend. Marc Platt, Jared LeBoff and Adam Siegel also executive produce for Marc Platt PRoductions, while Kristie Macosko Krieger and Steven Spielberg executive produce for DreamWorks Pictures. David Litvak executive produces for Bold Films.

Oslo debuts Saturday, May 29 on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max.
