Following its recent split into separate news and entertainment divisions, Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. has released the new logo for the news side of the equation.
An elegant cursive rendition of the company’s name, the logo is modeled after the signature of both Murdoch himself and his father, reflecting accomplishments across two generations of media moguldom.
Earlier this month, News Corp. unveiled the new logo for its newly partitioned entertainment arm, a clean, spare update on the iconic Twentieth Century Fox brand. Now called 21st Century Fox, the entertainment branch encompasses a slew of global broadcast and cable television networks as well as the Fox film and television studios. The news division comprises the company’s newspapers and information businesses, book publishing brands, its integrated marketing services company, and other assets.
