mOcean has elevated Danielle LaFortune to SVP of Entertainment Marketing, agency CMO Kevin Aratari announced Thursday.

In her new role, LaFortune will oversee all creative marketing teams for both print and on-air.

“Danielle has demonstrated the ability to create and manage an efficient team and workflow over the past years at mOcean,” Aratari said. “Her leadership ability, understanding of the creative process and the needs of our clients make her the perfect choice for this position.”

LaFortune will be responsible for managing all theatrical and broadcast print and on-air creative teams and projects, keeping them on deadline and budget, and overseeing all campaigns from pitch to delivery.

“My role is to act as a liaison between our creative agency and our clients,” says LaFortune. “We have to be strategic in the way we assemble our teams and how we present to the client. I’m always trying to see everything through the client’s eyes, while giving our creatives the freedom to do what they do best.”

She joined mOcean in 2008 as VP of Print Client Services, bringing clients Lucas Film, Fox International, and Disney Channel along with her.

LaFortune called the print team at mOcean “phenomenal, young and hungry.”

Before arriving at mOcean, she spent 12 years as VP of Creative Services or New Wave Entertainment, working on projects ranging from The Big Lebowski, to Borat, to Star Wars: Episode I, II, and III as agency-of-record liaison for Lucas Film.
