In what is sure to be the first of many benefit concerts during the coronavirus pandemic, Fox and iHeartRadio are teaming up for the Fox Presents iHeart Living Room Concert for America on Sunday, March 29. The special will air in the slot that was slated for the iHeartRadio Music Awards.

Elton John will host the special, which will include performances from such stars as Alicia Keys, Backstreet Boys, Billie Eilish, Billie Joe Armstrong, Mariah Carey, Tim McGraw and more, all from their own homes. Each performance will be filmed with the stars’ personal cell phones, cameras and audio equipment to ensure the health and safety of all involved.

The hour-long concert will pay tribute to health professionals, first responders and local heroes on the front line of this pandemic. It also will raise money for two charitable organizations set up to help both victims and first responders: Feeding America and First Responders Children’s Foundation. To extend the reach of the commercial-free special’s charitable component, Fox will offer the event across all of its linear and digital platforms.

Executive producers for the Fox Presents the IHeartLiving Room Concert for America are John Sykes and Tom Poleman, for iHeartMedia; and Joel Gallen, For Tenth Planet Productions. Tenth Planet Productions produced multi-network telethons immediately following 9/11, Hurricane Katrina and the Haiti Earthquake.
