Team Rubicon is a volunteer effort composed of military veterans and first responders who work together to help out in areas that have been by disaster. The above spot, by History UK, highlights some of this work in Nepal and other places.
The four interviews and indoor “work” scenes were shot in an abandoned factory in London that were dressed like disaster zones. The creative team was then able to intercut these scenes with footage of real disasters in Nepal. Also, the shoot location flooded the night before filming, which actually gave the team a realistic flood scene for the outdoor shots.
The above spot started airing in May and will run for a year to promote Team Rubicon’s efforts to rebuild damaged communities.
In June 2016, Nancy Dubuc, president and CEO of A+E Networks, joined Team Rubicon’s Board of Directors. A+E Networks has been a long-standing supporter of veterans through partnerships, programming and outreach programs.
