Encouraged by its latest hit in Transparent and the last round of well-received pilots, Amazon Studios has unveiled the next round of seven pilots to debut in 2015.
The new crop of shows includes its first docuseries, as well as another group of big names such as Lost’s Carlton Cuse and author Phillip K. Dick. Like other pilots on Prime Instant Video, users can view pilot as they’re released and rate each new show, leaving comments that Amazon can use when deciding whether or not to greenlight the series.
“Our first pilot season of 2015 brings some of the great storytellers in the business to Amazon customers with works of novelty and passion,” said Roy Price, VP of Amazon Studios. “We’re very excited by these shows and are looking forward to getting customers’ reactions next year.”
The seven new pilots are as follows:
Cocked:
A man returns home to save his family’s gun business with the help and constant comments from his liberal wife and kids in this dark comedy starring Sam Trammell.
Mad Dogs:
Starring Steve Zahn and Billy Zane, a group of friends gather in Belize to celebrate the success of one of their own, but things turn ugly when little white lies grow into a deadly situation.
Salem Rogers:
A former supermodel (Leslie Bibb) leaves rehab and attempts to put her life and career back together after her fame has subsided.
The Man in the High Castle:
This new drama is based on Phillip K. Dick’s novel about a possible future, imagining what would happen in the Allied Powers had lost World War II.
The New Yorker Presents:

Point of Honor:
From Lost’s Carlton Cuse, a Civil War-era family frees their slave in Virginia while staying on the side of the South.
