In a dizzying amount of plans for 2014, E! has announced its slate for this year’s upfronts that includes more Kardashians, more “Rich Kids” and a new foray into scripted fare.

The cable network will expand its well-known Kardashian franchise in the form of “Kourtney & Khloé Take The Hamptons” this time around, as well as “Dash Dolls,” which will introduce the employees at their chains of clothing boutiques. “#RichKids of Beverly Hills” will return for a second season, now adding a spinoff for their rich counterparts in New York too.

New series for 2014 will include “Escape Club,” “Botched” and “The Royals,” which was previously announced as E!‘s first scripted drama. “Gucci,” a new miniseries in development, is based on Patricia Gucci’s book “The Name of Gucci” and centers on the love story between Aldo Gucci and Bruna Palombo. Also in the works are a docuseries for fashion legend Diane Von Furstenberg, a reality show for singer Christina Milian and a wedding special for NSYNC’s Lance Bass.

E! is also focusing on special events for the year, including projects from Ryan Seacrest and a “Magic Mike-” inspired series set in Vegas. The documentary-style special coming this summer “Men of the Strip” will tell the story of a new all-male revue from casting to its first show.

Brief Take: E! can use its brand-friendly Kardashian franchise and other reality centerpieces to transition smoothly into more scripted fare, especially series like “Gucci” that can pair especially well with its existing fashion and reality-family programming.
