The 2014 FIFA World Cup doesn’t kick off until June, but some of ESPN’s talent want to dust off their vocal cords for the big event. The network’s official voice of the World Cup, Ian Darke, saw his chance and took it to a first date in this spot for ESPN’s FIFA coverage.
Darke sits down at this couple’s dinner to see how the event unrolls. Though the date starts off rocky (“Blimey, he’s outmatched!”) it gets better, then worse. “If he plays his cards right tactically, he might just stave off elimination.”
